P1 AquaX Bahamas World Championships sign on with media partners

Powerboat P1, the world’s leading marine motorsport brand, has announced that Pro Rider Watercraft Magazine and Powerboat Racing World will be official media partners for the P1 AquaX Bahamas World Championships jet ski racing event in November.

Regarded as the premier print and digital publication for personal watercraft enthusiasts, Pro Rider Magazine has been named as the “official magazine” of the event, which will be staged in the stunning setting of the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island near Nassau, The Bahamas. It will take place in Nassau Harbour, and the event will be held in partnership with The Bahamas’ Ministry of Tourism and Aviation and the Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board.

Powerboat Racing World – founded by its current editor, John Moore, in 2016, to provide international news covering the many disciplines of on-the-water competition – becomes the “official online media partner” of the event.

Speaking at the P1 AquaX race headquarters in Orlando, Florida, USA, its Global Head Lisa Barsby, who herself is a former world champion racer, said: “Effective PR (public relations) and media relations will be an integral part of our marketing and communications program to promote the Bahamas World Championships and support our key stakeholders – event partners, the host venue, sponsors, riders, the media and fans – and we believe that by partnering with Pro Rider Watercraft Magazine and Powerboat Racing World we will be able to deliver regular news, articles and features that are fresh, accurate and engaging. We want to bring the world championship to life over the coming months.”

With global coverage and special edition features in every issue, Pro Rider is a high-quality publication that provides insights and personal perspectives on the jet ski racing world.

“We are deeply honored and excited about this new partnership,” commented Pro Rider Watercraft Magazine Publisher Michael Ratti. “It further exemplifies the outstanding relationship the magazine is proud to share with P1 AquaX as it continues to deliver world-class opportunities for racers and spectators.”

Now firmly established as a favorite website with those who have a keen interest in marine motorsport and waterborne activities, Powerboat Racing World is no stranger to acting as the official media partner for high-profile, international race events and already works closely with P1 and the powerboat racing championships it promotes.

The three-day P1 AquaX Bahamas World Championships will take place over the weekend of November 8-10, with an elite field of 40 of the world’s best professional riders, representing up to 12 countries, in action. This will be AquaX’s first visit to The Bahamas.

Guests and spectators will have access to covered seating and stands positioned alongside the harbour for an up-close view of the race course. Additional festivities include a nearby race village, adjacent to the race course, which will feature live music, local bands, food and activities for all ages. Tickets are now available on the website atlantisbahamas.com/p1-aquax-race-to-the-bahamas-world-championship, or by contacting the Atlantis Box Office, and prices start at $15. One-day and three-day ticket packages are available.
