Generator from Generous Hearts promotion launched

After receiving a huge response to last week’s story on how the Bahamas Power and Light crisis is impacting Unity House, Guardian media group and Our TV yesterday announced the “Generator from Generous Hearts” promotion.

Guardian media invites residents and visitors to join the promotion to make providing a generator to the elderly residents a reality. The gesture will help the home’s residents to find comfort during power outages.

Based on the response, it is hoped that Bahamians continue to work toward ensuring that stand-by generation power becomes the norm and is installed at all assisted living facilities in The Bahamas.

Unity House is only the start.

The Generator from Generous Hearts promotion will end in December 2019. The generator will, of course, be a long-term asset to the home, which would also benefit from the generator during the hurricane season and during power outages down the road.
