Murder suspect granted $15k bail
A judge on Tuesday granted a murder suspect $15,000 bail ahead of his trial.
Dwight Jones, who is otherwise known as “Whitey”, is accused of the February 7, 2017 murder of Benjamin Anderson, who was murdered outside his home on Ida Street.
Senior Justice Vera Watkins set a curfew for Jones that requires him to be at home from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
He must also wear an electronic monitoring device and sign in at a police station three times a week.
Francisco Faubert was initially charged with Jones, but the Department of Public Prosecutions discontinued his prosecution earlier this year.
