BFA names men’s national team for home game
The Bahamas Football Association (BFA) has named its men’s national team for the next Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Nations League game. The Bahamas men’s national team looks to solidify its standing atop Group C as it takes on the return leg match against the British Virgin Islands on home soil on November 14.
The players that will represent The Bahamas will be Dwayne Whylly, Ambry Moss, Jonathan Miller, Troy Pinder, Isiah Collie, Terry Delancy, Happy Hall, Marcel Joseph, Lesly St. Fleur, Cameron Hepple, Quinton Carey, Jean Francois, Nicolas Lopez, Elvet Julmis, Evens Julmis, Alex Thompson, Logan Russell, Dylan Lightbourne and Ian Lowe.
Coach Nesly Jean submitted the list for approval and the team make up is slightly different from the squad which took apart the British Virgin Islands 4-0. Coach Jean decided to give some youthful players an opportunity to wear the Bahamas Jersey by naming them to the squad. While household names like Whylly, Hall, Hepple and St. Fleur are returning, new blood was infused into the team with the addition of Carey, Lopez and the Julmis twins.
Admission is free and supporters are urged to come out and send off the national team to the next round. Bring your drums and cowbells as the success of the men’s team is celebrated.
