Man sentenced to seven years for breaking into Atlantis rooms
A man charged with breaking into three rooms at the Atlantis resort and stealing guests’ belongings was yesterday sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment as part of a plea deal.
Idi Campbell, 21, pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary and six counts of stealing regarding the unlawful entries into the rooms located in the Reef and Beach Towers in October 2017, when he appeared before Justice Renae McKay.
The crimes were caught on the hotel surveillance cameras. Since Campbell had worked at the resort, his identity was known. However, a second man seen in the footage remains at large.
Raymond Rolle represented Campbell. Kristan Stubbs and Zoe Gibson appeared for the Office of the DPP.
