Man fined for marijuana stash

A man busted with two pounds of marijuana was yesterday fined $3,500 or one year in prison.

Jerry Erme pleaded guilty to drug possession with intent to supply when he appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.

Police executed a search warrant on Erme’s home on Bahama Avenue on June 25.

During the search, the officers found multiple packages of marijuana throughout the residence, including 172 foil wraps of marijuana.

The officers also seized $1,102.25 from Erme as the proceeds of crime.

In his police interview, Erme told the court that he had found the drugs in bushes and decided to take them home.

McKinney also ordered the money found on Erme confiscated.
