The Bahamas recorded another 50 cases of COVID-19 on Monday, with Mayaguana recording its first two cases and Long Island recording its second case.
The Ministry of Health also confirmed the death of a 77-year-old male of New Providence, who passed away yesterday. The death toll now stands at 44.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 2,217. There have been 1,378 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in New Providence, 552 cases in Grand Bahama, 67 cases in Abaco, 53 cases in Bimini, 19 cases in Exuma, 15 cases in the Berry Islands, 11 cases in Inagua, eight cases in Cat Island, six cases in Eleuthera, four cases in Acklins, two cases in Crooked Island, two cases in Long Island, two cases in Mayaguana, one case in Andros and 97 confirmed cases with locations pending.
Investigations are ongoing and health officials continue to follow the condition of the other current COVID-19 positive cases.
