Accused armed robber to stand trial

A man accused of robbing a gas station earlier this year has been committed to stand trial in the Supreme Court.

Louken Desinord on Friday received a voluntary bill of indictment, which transferred his case from the Magistrates Court to the Supreme Court where he will stand trial.

Prosecutors allege that Desinord held Sherlna Therene at gunpoint on January 6 and robbed her of $300, on the property of Rubis Service Station on Soldier Road and East Street.

Desinord is scheduled to be arraigned before Senior Justice Bernard Turner on July 29.
