The Bahamas has landed in a top 30 list of best casino destinations, with Atlantis’ casino listed as a high revenue earner at more than $128 million.
Leading online gambling company Kafe Rocks released the ‘Ultimate Casino Capital Ranking’ to identify the top casinos in the world and “help holiday makers place their bets on the destination best for them”.
The casino rankings are multi-faceted and feature “a city-level breakdown of
casinos, hotels and bars to reveal top travel destinations for both the high-rollers and budget-seekers looking to secure the jackpot”, according to Kafe Rocks.
The Bahamas ranked 24 on the list and, despite its small size, stacked up well against much larger countries.
Nassau’s casino revenue was pegged at $172 million.
“A total of 30 cities have been analyzed worldwide, and ranked according to the number of casinos, revenue of the largest casino, slot machines and table games, tourism and entertainment activities and the largest grand-prize payout,” the Kafe Rocks release states.
“These were then standardized to create the final ranking of the world’s top gambling destinations.”
According to Business Developer at Kafe Rocks Thomas Schiffer, gambling as a holiday recreational activity is on the rise, “and with such vast numbers of casinos and destinations to choose from, it’s important to make sense of the bright lights and big numbers before booking your ideal getaway”.
