Bud Light’s ‘NFL Lovers’ back for a third year

For a third consecutive year, Bud Light is sending Bahamians to experience a live National Football League (NFL) game through its “NFL Lovers” promotion. The promotion was launched on Tuesday, September 24 at the Warwick Hotel, Paradise Island.

On hand at the launch was Manny Bartolo, regional marketing and sales manager at Anheuser-Busch Caribbean. Bartolo said that he knows the Bahamian people love conch salad and the NFL.

“The first two things that I know that a person should understand about the Bahamian culture is their love for conch salad and NFL. That is why for Bud Light, it is a great idea for the past three or four years to introduce that big campaign – the ‘NFL Lovers’. It has been a great idea because we have a connection with the local market,” Bartolo said.

Wellington Seymour, executive sales and marketing manager at Bahamian Brewery and Beverage Company, who was on several of the trips for the past two years, said that the Bud Light experience and the NFL magnifies the experience.

“There is Bud Light and there is the NFL. The NFL is the NFL, but if you have the Bud Light experience with the NFL, your experience is simply magnified,” Seymour said.

In the past two years, the promotion has taken more than 60 Bahamians to an NFL game. Forty of those persons have seen a regular season game and 20 have seen the Super Bowl.

Last year, persons experienced the “Miracle in Miami” game in Miami, Florida, on December 9, 2018. The Miami Dolphins, with five seconds to go and down by five points, performed two laterals before scoring a touchdown that gave them a 34-33 victory.

Airfare, accommodation, food and beverage are taken care of as well as miscellaneous entertainment.

This year, Bud Light will give 10 winners a chance to go see the Dolphins against the New York Jets, on November 3 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. In February, five lucky winners will have a chance to see the 54th Super Bowl Championship Game at Hard Rock Stadium.

Bartolo knows that the country has been through a rough time earlier this month with the landfall of Hurricane Dorian and said that his company has made some relief efforts.

“Our company alone is giving a big support for the country. Also, all the employees from around the world are making their contributions for the country… We have our relief department in the United States and they are really working on that. I am a part of the e-mails so what I am telling you is what I really know that the company is doing. We are helping the country.”

To enter to win, persons have to buy a six-pack of Bud Light and submit their entry to win. The winners will be announced on October 15.
