Cop killer jailed for 33 years

The man who killed a policeman during an armed robbery has been jailed for 33 years.

Timothy Cole, 48, admitted to the murder and armed robbery of Inspector Carlis Blatch when he appeared before Justice Bernard Turner for the start of his trial today.

Cole avoided a potential death sentence by his guilty plea.

Blatch, who was the aide-de-camp to former Governor General Dame Marguerite Pindling, was robbed and killed on September 12, 2018.
