A magistrate on Tuesday convicted a man of drug possession with intent to supply and drug cultivation in his absence.
Magistrate Samuel McKinney handed down his decision in the case of Patrick Bosfield, 48, and his wife, Veronica Beuachese-Bosfield, 53, who were arrested last April after police allegedly found more than 70 pounds of marijuana inside their Coral Harbour home.
Mr. Bosfield missed the decision because he was stranded in Abaco, according to his lawyer Ian Cargill. He is to appear before McKinney on Friday.
McKinney ordered Beuachese-Bosfield to pay fines totaling $15,000 to avoid spending a year in prison.
