Joseph Foulkes, son of former Governor General Sir Arthur Foulkes, has been found not guilty of the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.
Justice Renae McKay yesterday directed a nine-member jury to acquit the 55-year-old at the close of the prosecution’s case.
Foulkes was represented by Miranda Adderley and Patrick Sweeting prosecuted.
This is the second time that Foulkes has been tried on the allegation.
He was convicted in 2015 and sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment but the Court of Appeal quashed the conviction and ordered a retrial.
