A man and woman accused of illegally selling fish and conch were on Monday placed on bail.
Police arrested Comequa McQuay, 34, of Garden Hills, and Philip Nairn, 53, of Murray Street, at Blue Hill Road South, on July 18, for selling conch and fish without a license.
They both denied the breach of the business license act when they appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.
McQuay denied an additional charge of disorderly conduct in the Carmichael Road Police Station.
Ferguson-Pratt set bail at $1,000 for Nairn and $1,300 for McQuay.
They were both represented by Eric Munroe and return to court on November 4 for trial.
