A Flamingo Air aircraft veered off the Black Point, Exuma airport yesterday morning and crashed into nearby bushes.
There were 12 passengers and two pilots onboard but no injuries were reported.
The Air Accident Investigation Department (AAID) said that an Air Beech 99 airplane was landing at the Black Point Airport at 8:30 a.m. when the right main gear collapsed, causing the plane to veer off of the runway and eventually crashed into bushes nearby.
A representative of the department said that once their report of the incident is completed, it will be made available to the public and recommendations, if any, will be made to the airline.
However, the AAID noted that it can take up to a year for the report to be complete.
