A woman was injured in a domestic dispute in the parking lot of Fusion Superplex on Friday, police have confirmed.
The female, an employee of Fusion Superplex, was in the employee parking lot of that establishment, when she was involved in a physical altercation with a male who is known to her, who is believed to also be an employee of Fusion Superplex. They both suffered serious injuries to the body.
Acting on information, on Saturday police went to a residence at Joe Farrington Road, where they arrested a 50-year-old male in connection with this incident. He was also suffering from serious injuries to the body and was taken to hospital to be treated.
Investigations are ongoing.
Fusion Superplex addressed the violent incident, assuring customers that their safety is a priority.
“Our security team quickly responded to a domestic dispute that occurred in the employee parking lot where a female was injured,” it said in a statement.
“We can confirm that the individual injured is an employee of Fusion Superplex.
“The police have taken a person of interest into custody. We continue to pray for our colleague’s quick recovery.
“We thank you for your support, and we wish to reassure the public that we will always provide a safe and wholesome environment for the entire family.”
