Gorospe wins final junior golf event for 2019

Master Aiden Gorospe continued his winning ways with another solid performance in the final junior event of the Fourteen Clubs Junior Golf Academy & The Front 9 Junior Tour, the Junior Players Championship 2019 at the Royal Blue Golf Course at Baha Mar on Saturday December 14.

The young student of the Windsor School topped a field of 30 junior golfers with the day’s low score of 77. Finishing second and third were Zion Taylor and Kerrington Rolle with scores of 78 and 85, respectively.

In the Boys/Girls Under-9 (U9) Flight, in nine-hole play, finishing first was Patrick Mactaggart. William West was second and Kayleigh Rolle came in third.

In the Boys/Girls 10-13 Flight, finishing first was Chemari Pratt. Coming in second was Arjun Shetty and finishing third was Dahlia Hamilton.

In the Boys/Girls 14-18 Flight, Jermaine Dawkins finished first, followed by Zadok Smith and Nataija McPhee placing second and third, respectively.

In 18-hole play, in the Boys 10-13 Flight, finishing first was Aiden Gorospe, with Kerrington Rolle placing second and Alexander Knowles rounding out in third.

In the Boys 14-15 category, finishing first was Zion Taylor, followed by Ethan Mui in second and finishing third was Alex Dupuch.

In the Boys 16-18 category, coming in first was Judah Lloyd, followed by Edison Rolle in second, with Clinton Bowleg finishing third and in the Girls 16-18 category, finishing first was A’Marie Smith with Nyah Singh was second.

The Tournament Flag for this event, which goes to the junior golfer with the lowest score, went to Master Aiden Gorospe. He finished the day with an eagle, two birdies and nine pars on his way to capturing the flag.
