A judge on Friday directed a jury to acquit a man of armed robbery.
Prosecutors alleged that Leander Bell Jr., 24, was one of two masked men who accosted Ismae Davis outside her home on June 29, 2017, and forced her back inside at gunpoint.
The masked gunmen took Davis upstairs and while searching her home, took a $280 handbag, a $200 silver and black Samsung cellular phone, her NIB card, a black Huawei cellular phone worth $381 and a Samsung S5 cellular phone valued at $300, before they left in a white Chevrolet Equinox that was parked in front of her home.
Justice Gregory Hilton upheld a no-case submission by Bell’s attorney Lennox Coleby.
Randolph Dames prosecuted.
