Man accused of stealing $14k from Mr. Ship It

A former customer service representative at Mr. Ship It denied falsifying records to conceal that he had stolen more than $14,000 from his employers.

Lavaughn Cooper, 25, of Jubilee Gardens, faced seven counts of stealing by reason of employment and seven counts of falsification of accounts at his arraignment before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes yesterday.

Prosecutors allege that Cooper stole $14,878.82 from the company from August 19, 2019 through September 30, 2019.

Cooper was denied bail and returns to court on February 17, 2020 for trial.

He is represented by Maria Daxon.
