A former wanted suspect accused of trying to kill his girlfriend in front of their four children and two other minors was denied bail yesterday.
Eddington Burrows, 35, of Coral Harbour, appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes charged with the March 10, 2019 attempted murders of his girlfriend, Lithera Bethel, 33, her aunt, Wendy Smith, 62, and cousin, Valentino Smith, 32, at Cowpen Road.
Additionally, Burrows is accused of having a handgun, with the intent to endanger the lives of his children and their minor cousins.
He did not have to enter a plea to the charges when he made his initial court appearance.
Sergeant Samantha Miah prosecuted.
Prosecutors will send the case to the Supreme Court with a voluntary bill of indictment on November 4.
His lawyer, Krysta Mason-Smith, said that Burrows had concerns for his safety as he allegedly received threats from the facility.
