Man charged in downtown traffic fatality

A man accused of killing a pedestrian in June of this year has been charged with vehicular manslaughter.

Prosecutors say Prince Dean, 52, was driving north on Frederick Street around 1:55 a.m. on June 8.

He’s accused of hitting a car, which hit and killed Winston Davis, who was on the sidewalk.

Dean was not required to enter a plea to the charge when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans yesterday and was granted $10,000 bail.

Dean, who is represented by Ian Cargill, returns to court on November 24 to receive a voluntary bill of indictment.
