Police charged a 21-year-old man with armed robbery.
Derren Bastian, of Nassau Village, faced two counts of armed robbery when he made his initial court appearance before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes on Wednesday, April 8.
Prosecutors allege that Bastian robbed Julius Pickstock of a silver Milano chain on March 6.
At the same time, he allegedly robbed Mario Knowles of a TechnoMarine watch, worth $350.
Bastian did not have to enter a plea to the charges because he will be tried in the Supreme Court.
The matter is expected to be transferred to the Supreme Court for arraignment on July 2.
Bastian will remain in custody at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until then, unless he is granted bail by the Supreme Court.
