A 26-year-old man was yesterday denied bail on a sexual assault charge.
Prosecutors allege that Anthony Miller, of Maranatha Close, assaulted a 24-year-old woman with the intention of raping her on December 22, 2019.
Miller was not required to enter a plea to the charge when he appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes.
Miller must seek bail in the Supreme Court because the magistrate does not have the power to consider bail for the offense.
Miller returns to court on May 18 for the presentation of a voluntary bill of indictment, which will fast track the case to the Supreme Court for trial.
