Former wanted suspect Derinardo Mott appeared in court on Wednesday charged with a June 17 shooting.
Prosecutors say Mott, 27, of Kenilworth Street, attempted to murder Antoine Williamson on that date. He was charged with possession of a handgun with the intention to endanger the life of Kadisha Rolle in the same incident.
Mott did not have to enter a plea to the charges when he appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.
The magistrate refused bail and adjourned the matter to September 4 for the presentation of a voluntary bill of indictment.
