Police have charged a 33-year-old man in connection with a double murder that took place this week.
Patrick Bowe, 33, of St. James Road, appeared before Magistrate Kara Turnquest-Deveaux charged with the December 18 murders of Kevisha Richards, 23, and James Johnson, 29.
The couple was ambushed in shooting outside a home in Joan’s Heights on Tuesday.
Bowe, who did not have a lawyer, was not required to enter a plea to the charges.
He made no complaints to the magistrate about his treatment in police custody and was refused bail.
Bowe next returns to court on February 21 when it is expected that the matter will be fast-tracked to the Supreme Court for trial.
