A man accused of molesting his own daughter told a magistrate that he did nothing wrong.
The 32-year-old man appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt accused of three counts of incest on Thursday.
The sexual abuse allegedly began in 2018 when the child was 10 and continued up to April 2020, court dockets allege.
The alleged victim, now 12, does not live with her father.
Prosecutors allege that the man, whose name has been withheld to conceal the child’s identity, had unlawful sexual intercourse with the child in 2018 and in February and April this year.
He was not required to enter pleas to the accusations since he will face trial in the Supreme Court.
Despite this, the man said the charges were false.
According to him, when the first accusation was made, he took the child to the clinic and the child was “proven to be a virgin”.
The magistrate informed that sexual intercourse extended to anal and oral sex.
The suspected abuser was denied bail. He returns to court on October 14 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment.
