A man was charged with killing a father of three on January 13.
Prosecutors say that Jermaine Griffin, 23, and others, gunned down Jacquelin Francois.
Police responded to reports of a shooting at Montgomery Avenue, off Carmichael Road, around 7 p.m.
Police said the victim was standing on the street among a group of other men when the occupants of a black Toyota Passo opened fire.
Francois, 36, was the only person struck and he died at the scene.
Griffin did not have a lawyer when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt on the murder charge.
He was not required to enter a plea and was remanded into custody until March 11 when it is expected that the case will be forwarded to the Supreme Court for trial.
