A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a 20-year-old man who was shot to death in Montell Heights last week.
Police say Anthony Enelus is responsible for the January 5 shooting death of Carlyle Johnson.
Prosecutors say Enelus opened fire on a group of men in a yard. Johnson was shot and died on the scene.
Enelus also faces a charge of possession of a firearm with the intent to put another in fear.
They say that at the same date and place, Enelus had a firearm to put Alvin Morley in fear.
He was not required to enter pleas to the charges at his initial appearance before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes yesterday.
Bail was refused. Enelus’ next court date is February 12.
Keith Seymour is his lawyer.
