Man charged with unlawful sexual intercourse

A man was remanded to prison on Monday after he was charged with two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse.

Prosecutors say Daniel Williams, 24, of Israel Street, Adelaide, molested a 15-year-old on May 20 and 21.

Williams did not have to enter a plea to the charge when he appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes.

The court does not have the power to consider bail for the charges. As a result, Forbes denied bail.

Williams, however, can seek bail in the Supreme Court.

Prosecutors intend to fast-track the case to the Supreme Court by presenting a voluntary bill of indictment.
