A man arrested after police allegedly found a loaded 9mm pistol on him was yesterday denied bail.
Police charged Leteaco Thompson, 37, of Bernard Road, with possession of unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition following his May 2 arrest.
Officers executed a search warrant on his home and allegedly found a 9mm pistol along with 10 unfired rounds of ammunition.
Thompson, who is represented by Krysta Mason-Smith, denied the charges at his arraignment before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt.
She remanded him to the Bahamas Department of Corrections because she lacks authority to consider bail for the charges.
Thompson returns to court on October 7 for the start of his trial.
