A marine accused of killing a superior officer and the attempted murders of two colleagues is appealing a judge’s decision to deny him bail.
Justice Gregory Hilton rejected a bail application for Jevon Seymour on July 11.
Seymour has denied charges that he murdered Petty Officer Percival Philip Perpall and attempted to murder his fellow marines Calvin Hanna and Ellis Rahming at Government House on April 28.
Seymour has also denied charges of possession of a firearm with the intention of endangering the lives of Hanna and Rahming.
The Court of Appeal is set to hear the bail appeal on October 8, a month before Seymour is due to appear before Justice Bernard Turner for a trial date to be fixed.
