As a landowner and frequent visitor to Eleuthera (just had two weeks over Christmas), I was glad to hear about the COVID ambassador program.
However, I saw a couple of problems.
First, the ONLY time I ever saw the COVID ambassador car for central Eleuthera is when it was parked at the Governor’s Harbour Police Station, never out and about.
Also, every food market in and around James Cistern/Rainbow Bay had workers either with no mask or a mask with their nose uncovered.
Second, I just watched the COVID ambassador video — masks NOT covering the nose; not a good example.
COVID is a respiratory virus and where does one breathe? Through the nose.
The program is a great idea — if it works. Cover the nose!!
Use the motto “mask it or casket!”
