Murder suspect accused of violating bail conditions

murder suspect yesterday denied violating the terms of his bail.

Obediah McKinney, 24, is accused of the 2012 murder of Xavier McKinney.

As a condition of his bail, he was required to report to Wulff Road Police Station.

However, prosecutors say that he failed to meet this condition between June 15, 2018 and December 10, 2018.

McKinney is also accused of failing to charge his ankle bracelet from November 26, 2018 to December 10, 2018.

McKinney denied the charges at his arraignment before Magistrate Kara Turnquest-Deveaux.

The matter was adjourned for trial and McKinney was sent to Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson for a bail revocation hearing.
