Murder suspect granted bail

A man accused of shooting three men at a nightclub has been granted bail with reporting conditions.

Vernal Johnson, of Dumping Ground Corner, faces a murder charge and two counts of attempted murder in relation to the February 9 incident.

Prosecutors say Johnson murdered Rico Taylor, and attempted to murder Anfernee Major and Jarvis Joseph.

Johnson will be freed once his sureties post his $30,000 bail. He has to report to police three times a week, surrender his travel documents to the court and have no contact with witnesses either directly or indirectly.
