It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of Justice Emmanuel Osadebay.
Although not a born Bahamian, Osadebay used his legal talents for the good of the country, particularly in the area of labor law. He had a sharp mind, which, coupled with a keen sense of humor, made him an astute and humane judge.
In his practice of the law and as a magistrate, a Supreme Court justice and a justice of appeal, he was revered and respected by lawyers, judges and members of the public.
On his retirement, he gave of his talents to the students of the law at the Eugene Dupuch Law School and many benefited from his vast knowledge.
I wish to extend condolences to his widow and family and assure them that our prayers are with them at this time of bereavement. Rest in peace, honorable judge.
