A man and woman accused of smuggling 20 pounds of marijuana from Canada have been freed on bail.
Urica Seymour, 32, of Sea Breeze, and Craig Gibson, 36, of Kent Drive, denied charges of drug possession with intent to supply, conspiracy to possess drugs with intent to supply, drug importation and conspiracy to import drugs at their arraignment.
Prosecutors allege that a Customs Officer found the drugs when Seymour went to collect several packages from the Customs Warehouse at Windsor Field on Saturday.
They arrested Gibson in relation to the discovery a short time later.
Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes denied bail and set a November 24 trial date.
But Justice Gregory Hilton freed the accused on $9,000 bail each at an emergency bail hearing.
Jomo Campbell represents Seymour and Bjorn Ferguson represents Gibson.
