Chief Superintendent Solomon Cash said yesterday that police officers on Eleuthera found a car which is believed to belong to a man who has been missing since late July.
Cash, who heads the Central Detective Unit (CDU), said the car was found in Deep Creek, Eleuthera, early Sunday morning.
“I was told that the car was burned from the interior but there is no report of bullet holes,” Cash said.
On July 29, police reported that Calvin Shanardo Johnson, of Wemyss Bight, Eleuthera, was missing.
Johnson, 39, weighs between 160 and 175 pounds with a brown complexion and a medium build.
According to police, Johnson was last seen on July 26.
Cash said police have not discovered Johnson’s body.
He said CDU intends to dispatch a team of detectives to assist with the investigation.
