OBITUARY FOR MRS. SHIRLEY ANNE DUNKLEY
Shirley Anne Dunkley, nee Sawyer, passed away peacefully at her home
in the early hours of Wednesday, March 8th, 2023 at the grand age of 98.
She is predeceased by her brother John Sawyer and sister, Sally Sawyer,
her loving husband, George Andrew and her only daughter, Deborah
Anne Abrahams and survived by her sons John (Sue-Anne), Robert
(Colleen), and Philip (Diane), grandchildren Christie Dwyer (Kevin),
Michelle Lakin Hope, Jessica Dunkley, Davin Lakin (Candis), Shannon
Bruce (John), Christopher Dunkley, Mark Dunkley (Colleen), and Zoe
Dunkley, her beloved great grandchildren Lily, Riley, Luke, Connor,
Isobel, Patrick James, Finnbar and Oliver as well as many relatives both
in The Bahamas and in the US and UK. Special thanks to caregivers
Shirley Armbrister, Sancia Rahming and Savannah Russell for their
loving attention and to Dr. Angela Kuntz who went above and beyond in
the care of mum, our eternal thanks for your compassion.
A Funeral Service will be held for Mrs. Dunkley at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Kirk, Princes’ Street, Nassau, The Bahamas on Saturday, 18th March, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
Rev. Bryn MacPhail will officiate and a private interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Soldier Road, New Providence, The Bahamas.

A Reception for family and friends will take place at the Royal
Nassau Sailing Club, Eastern Road, New Providence at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, 18th March, 2023.
