Multi-faceted entertainer Nick Cannon brings the star power to Sugar Factory Baha Mar’s first year celebration; TikTok sensation Charli D’Amelio and fellow TikTokers among full house

The sweetest place on earth, Sugar Factory American Brasserie restaurant at the luxurious Baha Mar resort received serious star power for its first-year anniversary celebration in multi-faceted American entertainer Nick Cannon who guest deejayed to a full house, which included teenage TikTok sensation Charli D’Amelio, who celebrated her 18th birthday on May 1 and was joined for the Baha Mar getaway by her family and fellow TikTokers.

Cannon was joined by his pregnant model girlfriend, Bre Tiesi, who celebrated her birthday on Wednesday, May 4, for the sweet hosting gig.

“Sugar Factory is probably the most exhilarating eating experience one can have,” said Cannon of his sweet hosting gig. “It really just allows you to tap into your fun side … your youthful side. I’ve always loved it because I have this extreme love for candy and sugar, but it’s a great place to spend time with family. It’s a great place to engage with co-workers and parties because it allows you to just focus on having fun.”

For people looking for a place to just get out, have fun, and let their hair hang out, Cannon said Sugar Factory is definitely that place.

Cannon and his girlfriend were let loose in the candy store and ice cream parlor and they took advantage of the hundreds of sweet offerings, just like a kid in a candy store, zeroing in on their treats of choice. “I’m going to be all over this place,” he said before guest deejaying for well over an hour inside the Sugar Factory restaurant to a packed house.

Cannon’s favorite candies – anything fruit and sour, and gummy bears.

No stranger to The Bahamas, Cannon described the Baha Mar resort as “amazing”.

“I’m here again because I love The Bahamas. I love the energy, I love the people and to be able to be out here with the brand that I love and represent, the Sugar Factory.”

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sugar Factory American Brasserie at Baha Mar opened with a soft opening, and opted to up the ante for the one-year anniversary celebration.

“This is truly an exciting time for us to be able to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the world-famous Sugar Factory,” said Graeme Davis, Baha Mar president adding they are thrilled to have the world-famous eatery, known the for its sweets and treats.

The Sugar Factory American Brasserie at Baha Mar is the first in the Caribbean; with 30 locations worldwide in some of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities.

Davis said the Sugar Factory American Brasserie was a beautiful addition to the experiences at Baha Mar.

“This is the perfect place to come for celebrations, birthday parties, here at Baha Mar and certainly here at the Sugar Factory,” he said.

Being able to celebrate the first-year milestone with the star power it brought to the resort, Davis said is a culmination of the resort’s investment to bring in world-class experiences.

“This particular experience at Sugar Factory ice cream parlor and candy store, really helps solidify the family experience and those world-class spectacular experiences here at Baha Mar, so we believe this is just one of those many pieces of the experience that create a spectacular experience here at Baha Mar. Having Nick Cannon … the D’Amelios and a full house at Sugar Factory – it’s an exciting time. Perfect way to celebrate the one-year anniversary.”

Also celebrating with Charli was her older sister Dixie and fellow TikTokers Markell Washington, Larri Merritt, Jack Wright, Kavour Anon, Alex Warren, Hayley Sharpe, and Zoi Lerma.

Baha Mar partnered with John Cates and his family to bring the sweet experience to Baha Mar.

Guests at the Sugar Factory American Brasserie can expect an exciting and unforgettable dining experience with indoor and outdoor dining and photo-worthy decor, over-the-top entrees, legendary desserts and Sugar Factory’s signature retail store with hundreds of candy options.

The dining room, replete with red tufted banquets and crystal chandeliers, seats 200, with seating for an additional 100 guests on the spacious outdoor patio. The restaurant also features an extraordinary outdoor carousel bar and gazebo that seats 30 and offers views of Baha Mar’s dazzling fountain show.

Sugar Factory offers guests brunch, lunch, dinner and delectable desserts. Photo-worthy dishes include the Insane Double Stack Rainbow Pancakes, Big Cheesy Burger, Surf and Turf, Eggs Benedict, Chicken and Waffles, signature Rainbow Sliders, and the Cajun Chicken Penne Alfredo. Sensational desserts include the Campfire Spiked S’Mores Insane Milkshake and the Cookie Monster Insane Milkshake, each lavishly decorated and served in chocolate-covered mugs; and the legendary King Kong Sundae, which serves up to 12 people with 24 scoops of ice cream covered with sprinkles, gummy bears, caramel sauce, hot fudge sauce and giant whirly pops.

The elevated white marble indoor bar seats up to 13 guests and provides full menu service complete with Sugar Factory’s signature celebrity-endorsed, smoking cocktail goblets (all of which can be made without alcohol), including the Soul Man by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made with Teremana Tequila; the Watermelon Patch featuring Pitbull’s Voli 305 Vodka; 50 Cent’s Candy Shop goblet made with Branson Cognac; Bruno Mars’ Watermelon Piña Colada and Mai Tai made with SelvaRey Rum; and Nick Jonas’ and John Varvatos’ Strawberry Cadillac Reposado Margarita made with Villa One Tequila.

Sugar Factory American Brasserie is located inside Baha Mar, and open daily from 8 a.m. to midnight.
