The Temple Christian Primary Basketball Tournament continued on Tuesday with a number of teams seeing action.
In the Primary Boys Division, the Jordan Prince William Falcons turned back Teleos Christian School, 15-10. Also, Sts. Francis and Joseph’s ‘A’ team doubled up Freedom Baptist Academy, 14-7, and Genesis Academy defeated Sts. Francis and Joseph’s ‘B’ team, 9-3.
In the Primary Girls Division on Tuesday, the Kingsway Academy Saints defeated the Sts. Francis and Joseph Shockers, 3-1.
In the Mini Division, the host school Temple Christian outlasted Genesis Academy, 4-3.
Action continues today at Temple Christian’s gymnasium on Collins Avenue. A number of primary schools around the island of New Providence from different leagues are taking part in the tournament.
In volleyball action in the Bahamas Scholastic Athletic Association (BSAA), a number of teams got on the court.
In the Junior Girls Division, the Mt. Carmel Preparatory Academy Cavaliers needed three sets to knock off the Teleos Christian Cherubims. They won, 19-10, 10-19 and 15-11. In senior girls play, Mt. Carmel won in straight sets, breezing past San Pedro International School, 25-11 and 25-16. In the final game of the day, in the Senior Boys Division, the Teleos Christian Cherubims defeated the Mt. Carmel Cavaliers in straight sets, 25-23 and 25-14.
