The Trump-like thinking of the UBP government suffered a massive blow that day, January 10, 1967.
The ideals that brought about a government, which looked like the majority of the population must, once again, be the hallmark of those who are in public office and those who seek public office.
Our people, whether they know it or not, are desperate for a resurgence of political leadership in government made up of women and men dedicated to peace and justice; fair play; integrity; ethics; honesty; talent; commitment.
Women and men working together with a real plan to secure the well-being of our families and communities; of our children, teachers and schools; of workers and our economy; of our neighborhoods and environment; of our seniors and their secure retirement; of our medical personnel and facilities.
They must all be dedicated to the protection of our entire Bahamas in order to produce a good quality of life now and real prospects for a happy and productive future for our nation of people living on our many islands.
God Bless and protect The Bahamas.
