Three armed robberies in New Providence

Police are investigating three robberies that occurred in New Providence on Sunday.

According to police, the first incident took place shortly before 1 p.m. when two armed men entered a home on Hutchinson Street, off Poinciana Drive, held residents at bay and robbed them of an undisclosed amount of cash and cell phones before escaping. 

Shortly before 7 p.m., police said, a woman was standing in front of her Blue Hill Heights residence when two men approached her, pushed her to the ground and robbed her of her handbag before speeding away in a black Toyota Passo. 

The third incident took place shortly after 10 p.m., near Potter’s Cay Dock.

Police said a man was sitting in his vehicle in a parking lot when a group of men, one armed with a gun, approached him and robbed him of cash, jewelry and his cell phone before running away.

Police had no one in custody over the matters up to yesterday.
