Three men face gun charges following a raid on a home in South Palmetto Point, Eleuthera.
Just after 7 p.m., on October 9, officers executing a search warrant found a 9mm pistol with nine rounds of ammunition at the residence.
They arrested one man immediately after the alleged discovery. However, further investigations led to the arrest of two additional suspects.
George Henderson, Calvin Johnson and Mandella Campbell appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition.
They denied the charges at their arraignment.
Attorney Samantha Miah did not object to bail for Henderson and Campbell. As a result, the magistrate set their bail at $8,000 each, with one or two sureties.
As for Johnson, Miah told the court that she needed additional time to investigate “an alleged pending matter”.
Johnson has denied having any ongoing court cases.
Therefore, his bail hearing was deferred until October 19.
Ferguson-Pratt will schedule a trial date for all of the defendants on that date as well.
Wendawn Miller-Frazer appeared for the accused.
