Three teenaged boys accused of assaulting another teen at South Beach Canal were on Friday granted bail.
The accused, ages 13, 14 and 15, appeared before Magistrate Kara Turnquest-Deveaux with their guardians over the September 4 incident.
An adult took the alleged victim to the East Street South police station after he saw the 13-year-old boy running from bushes naked, crying out for help.
One of the teens admitted to the charge, while the others denied the accusation.
They are due to appear before the juvenile panel in November.
Turnquest-Deveaux told the teens if their guardians couldn’t sign their $2,000 bail, they would be housed at the Simpson Penn School for Boys.
She warned them if they misbehaved there, they would have to be detained at the Adolescent Section at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
