As has been par for the course, Bahamians flocked to the City of Miami Gardens for the annual Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival at Hard Rock Stadium, and for the 16th sweeter level festival.
This year, The Nassau Guardian and Star 106 Hits along with his longtime partner Bahamasair and GoGo Florida, provided airlift and transportation to lucky winners. Hotel Dello, A Tapestry Collection by Hilton property in Dana Beach, Florida, also came onboard as the host hotel for the first time this year. The popular Bahamian night was resurrected. Bahamians flying into South Florida and those living in the area were welcome to attend the mix and mingle prior to getting down to the serious business of partying at the music festival. The electric 13-artist JITG lineup of award-winning new and old school R&B, neo-soul, reggae and gospel artists was billed as a “sweeter-level” celebration of Black music and culture.
