Trial of pair accused of John Bull robbery delayed

The trial of two men accused of a smash-and-grab robbery at the John Bull Store in the Baha Mar Resort was adjourned yesterday at the request of the prosecution.

Prosecutors allege that Diego Carey and Phynarge Wright broke two showcases on May 5 and helped themselves to upmarket items, such as Rolex watches, earrings, bracelets and diamonds with a combined value of $451,624.

They return to court on November 28 for trial on charges of stealing and causing damage.

Their co-accused, Jason Ferguson, admitted the charges at arraignment and was sentenced to four years in prison.
