Two charged in separate murders

Police charged two suspects in two separate murders on Friday.

Kimbo Guerrier, 23, of Firefly Close, is accused of the April 21 murder of Kevin Andrews Jr.

Prosecutors say Guerrier fatally shot Andrews at a fruit stall at the junction of Baillou Hill Road and Gamble Heights.

Guerrier was not required to enter a plea to the murder charge when he appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.

He was denied bail and his next court date is August 4.

Meanwhile, Keno Stubbs, 21, is charged with the May 2 murder of Timothy Saunders.

Saunders, an inmate on the prison’s work release scheme, was gunned down while working at the Rubis service station on Mackey and Madeira streets.

Stubbs, who was represented by Ian Jupp, was not required to enter a plea to the charge when he appeared before Magistrate Kendra Kelly.

He returns to court on August 19.
