Bail has been denied for a man accused of raping a woman earlier this month.
Alexander Adderley, 20, of Thatch Palm Avenue, of Seabreeze Estates, appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney yesterday on the rape charge.
Prosecutors allege that Adderley sexually assaulted the 19-year-old woman on New Providence on December 19.
He was not required to enter a plea to the charge.
His case will be fast-tracked to the Supreme Court by a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI) on February 28.
Eleuthera resident Kiko Greene appeared in the same court accused of the sexual assault of a 31-year-old woman sometime between December 22 and 23.
Greene, 36, of James Cistern, is charged with assaulting a 31-year-old woman with the intention of raping her.
Greene was not required to plead to the charge and denied bail.
He also returns to court in February to receive a VBI.
