Two men died after crashing their car during a high-speed police chase on New Providence, police said yesterday.
According to police, shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday, officers saw two men sitting inside a silver Honda Fit acting suspicious in the Golden Gates area.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver sped off, leading the officers on a chase, which ultimately
ended when the driver lost control of the car and crashed at the junction of Blue Hill Road and Moonshine Drive.
The driver, who was ejected from his car during the crash, died at the scene, while the passenger later died in hospital.
Police reported that a 9mm pistol with 12 rounds of ammunition was recovered from the scene.
