A woman accused of trying to snatch a seven-year-old boy as he walked to school has been denied bail.
Justice Bernard Turner refused bail for natural hairstylist De’Edra Gibson last week.
Gibson is accused of attempted child stealing in relation to the December 9, 2019 incident.
Prosecutors allege that Gibson, 30, reoffended while on bail for stealing four boys between February 16 and March 29.
She was wearing an electronic monitoring device at the time of the alleged offense.
Prosecutors claim that she grabbed a three-year-old boy as he rode his bicycle on February 16. He was later dropped off near a laundromat on Fox Hill Road and Joe Farrington Road.
Gibson’s other alleged victims, all aged eight, were allegedly lured into her car on March 6, 7 and 29 before they were dropped to the city dump.
Gibson returns to court on June 29. At that time, her lawyer Uel Johnson will inform the court whether a fitness to plead hearing is necessary.
